Out of all automobile companies, Subaru was named top automaker by Consumer Report. This is the first time the car company reached the top spot with a brand score of 75, up two from last year. In second place, Mazda came in topping bigger companies Toyota (NYSE:TM) and Honda (NYSE:HMC). Honda whose been on top the past four years fell to the fourth spot after it went through ”several redesigned models–including the Civic and Odyssey–that didn’t measure up to their predecessors,” Consumer Report said. Honda Motor (NYSE:HMC) has potential upside of 8.8% based on a current price of .17 and an average consensus analyst price target of .54.

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces that Siam Toyota Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (STM), TMC’s engine production base in Thailand, will in early 2014 increase its annual production capacity from approximately 740,000 units to approximately 840,000 units.
